The Landers’ first moved to Quail Valley in 2008 and have been renovating since then! Why exactly is that? The family has found many reasons to keep changing things around. Even though a flipper had re-done everything, Diane (who loves renovating) took everything out and started all over again. The house got an entire makeover, from ceiling to floors.
The latest project Diane has worked on is the kitchen and front room. She opened up the wall that divided the two and made a large, spacious kitchen.
Now, let’s talk about the feature wall! When you first walk into the house, you’ll see a wall beautifully built by a carpenter that is covered in wonderful pictures that represent the Landers. How did Diane come up with this idea? Well, the inspiration for the renovations came after Diane studied interior design in school. Everything Diane learned in school, she applied to her home and it worked out perfectly.
Everything looks absolutely amazing here…so, there’s no need for more renovations, right? Wrong! Diane always has a clever idea she’s working on. Right now she’s focused on replacing the old Hardy Plank. With this, the brick exterior is going to be white washed with a beautiful finish.
So, if you have a wall in your house, and you’re not sure what to do about it, you’ve just learned a great way to make it your own. You can also open up a wall and change the dynamic of your space.
