The Burnett-Bells have done an amazing job decorating this home! The family moved into the house in 2005 after Randy stumbled upon it. For almost 20 years, he would commute to Sugarland for work and wanted to buy a house in The Heights. Once Randy walked into this home and saw the view outside, it was love at first sight!
The homes in Quail Valley were built in the 70’s, which is much different than the homes in The Heights. Randy was a little shocked when he made the move from the modern feel in The Heights to the more traditional feel of Quail Valley. Once he got everything situated inside, he wasn’t sure if he had made the right choice. However, once he took a step back, he saw what the problem was: his furniture.
Randy had fallen in love with so many great features of the home, yet his modern furniture didn’t fit. So, he made the switch, and everything came to life! The mid-century modern furniture from the 60’s and 70’s total transformed the home. And after 2 years and 450 shipments of furniture, he had exactly what he was looking for.
When renovations started, Randy decided to take on the living room and kitchen first. His main focus was on opening everything up so he could entertain others. Soon after, upgrades were made to the countertops and cabinets. Then it was on to the dining room where he made it into a salon. Several pieces in this room came from estate sales located in Quail Valley. Whenever possible, Randy tries to pick pieces from the locals.
So, with all the renovations happening, what else is left? Randy has a goal to move the entire kitchen and dining room around so he can put in an island that seats 20!
Until Next Time!
